Welcome To Growing Through Thyme

Hi, we're Greta and Amariona — a mom and daughter who love three things a little too much: history, nature, and getting our hands in the dirt. Growing Through Thyme is what happens when you let all three collide. Every flower has a story if you dig for it — a monk who smuggled seed across the sea, a botanist who buried his own garden gate to keep neighbors out, a plant said to appear like a ghost wherever a certain woman walked. We go looking for those stories, then we grow the actual flower ourselves, mistakes and all, and send both to you. Here's the honest truth behind why we started: mail used to matter, and it doesn't much anymore. USPS delivered about 220 billion pieces of mail back in 2006 — last year, it was roughly half that, and the Postal Service lost $9 billion in the past fiscal year alone. A lot of us can't name our own next-door neighbor either. We can't fix either of those things. But we can hand you a reason to open your mailbox, and maybe pass a little of that on to someone else. So every month: a real letter from our own garden, the true history behind one heirloom flower, real seed to grow it yourself, and real postage tucked in so you can send a little happy mail of your own.
